The Gideon Klein Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Eliška Kleinová, Gideon Klein’s sister, in 1994. Its aim is to support, propagate and perform Gideon Klein’s musical works and to contribute to the enrichment of the spiritual values that Gideon Klein left for the cultural world.
The financial means of the Foundation come from:
• gifts and inheritance,
• income from the estate of the Foundation, namely from royalties and publishing activities

This money is used, in compliance with the aim of the Foundation, for the Gideon Klein Awards, namely for the support of:
• young artists:
a) In cooperation with the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and with the Music School of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno the Foundation awards outstanding student performances such as interpretations, compositions and musical theories as well as other theoretical reflections of Gideon Klein’s work,
b) To support contest awards (The Foundation annually awards the best Czech performer of the interpretation contest of the Prague Spring Festival),
• cultural events that correspond with the aims of the Foundation.
